Rachel graduated from La Trobe University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Dietetic Practice. She joined Nutrition Health & Wellbeing in 2018 and has developed a holistic approach to her nutrition care that is supportive of weight inclusivity and intuitive eating practices. Rachel’s clients can expect a safe and respectful space to gain further information about their nutrition concerns.
Rachel has experience across a wide range of nutritional areas. She has a special interest in empowering clients with conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, Cardiovascular Health, Hypertension, and gastrointestinal conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and diverticulitis. Her counselling approach combines up-to-date evidence-based practices with a focus on fostering positive relationships with food and the body.
Rachel is both NDIS-trained and a participant herself which she feels gives her a unique perspective on the program and a specialised understanding of the care that must go into management. She enjoys supporting clients with disabilities to achieve their nutritional goals, individualising her approach to meet individual needs. Rachel takes pride in fostering an inclusive and empowering environment where clients feel supported and understood.
Rachel loves working in the preventative health space and is committed to promoting lasting health outcomes. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop practical, personalised strategies that align with their lifestyle, goals and individual circumstances so that outcomes can be long lasting and sustainable.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, heading into her local yoga studio for a class, or relaxing with a good coffee and book.
Rachel currently practices out of Brunswick West – The Dietitian Centre.
