Laura is passionate about empowering her clients to achieve overall health and wellbeing, providing nutrition advice that is tailored to the individual, resulting in sustainable and lifelong changes consistent with optimal nutritional health. Laura ensures a compassionate approach, providing guidance and support to incorporate a varied and balanced diet that is both nourishing and appealing. Laura provides a foundation for clients to establish a positive relationship with food, to further enhance their health journey and promote wellness through a holistic approach, understanding that our relationship with food is more than just nourishment. Laura promotes weight inclusivity and intuitive eating practices and provides a safe and respectful space for clients to explore their relationship with food and their body. Laura has experience in a range of nutritional areas including chronic disease management, gastrointestinal issues including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), maternal health/pregnancy, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and pediatric nutrition. Laura has a particular interest in bariatric nutrition, ensuring clients are provided optimal nutritional guidance before and after surgery to ensure the best possible health outcomes. Laura also specialises in disordered eating and eating disorders in adolescents and adults having undertaken further training in this area and regularly engages in professional supervision to ensure clients are supported optimally, safely, and effectively. In addition to private practice, Laura has a strong interest in preventative nutrition, providing community nutrition support through her role as a Life! Program facilitator. Laura engages her participants in increasing their capacity to incorporate meaningful and lasting changes through health education and individual goal setting to achieve and maintain healthy eating habits and a balanced lifestyle. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with family and reading and keeping up to date with nutritional research. Laura is also a qualified chef and mother of two, and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and creating delicious, nutritious recipes to share with her clients, family, and friends.
