Stella Kwan

Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD)

Stella is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) passionate about helping people enjoy food while working towards their individual health goals. A genuine food enthusiast, she loves exploring cultural foods while travelling and believes that food is much more than fuel—it can be a source of connection, enjoyment, culture and comfort.

Stella’s interest in nutrition began while completing her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, when she audited nutrition-related subjects and became fascinated by the connection between food, health and the human body. Her background in biochemistry taught her to question information, seek the truth and use scientific evidence to guide decisions. She later completed her Master of Dietetics at Monash University, combining this evidence-based foundation with practical, person-centred nutrition care.

Stella believes there is no single “perfect” way to eat. Rather than labelling foods as “good” or “bad,” she works with clients to make informed and realistic choices that suit their lifestyle, culture, preferences, health needs and goals. She understands that sustainable nutrition changes need to be enjoyable, achievable and tailored to the individual.

Her approach is warm, non-judgemental and practical. Stella takes the time to listen, understand the bigger picture and create personalised strategies that clients can apply in daily life—whether that involves meal planning, grocery shopping, navigating social eating, managing symptoms or finding ways to include favourite cultural foods in a balanced diet.

Stella commits to ongoing professional development, regularly completing further training to strengthen her skills in emerging or unfamiliar areas of dietetics. Stella was brought up in a multilingual family and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, playing tennis, skiing in winter, trying foods from different cultures, cooking with friends, going to the gym and seeking out adrenaline-filled activities!
