Cardiovascular Health

Cardiovascular disease, also know as heart disease, is the leading cause of death in Australia, affecting 4.2 million Australians. Cardiovascular disease includes:

  • Coronary artery disease (heart attacks, heart muscle disease)
  • Heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias)
  • Congenital heart defects which are present at birth.

There are several factors that increase cardiovascular disease risk, many of which can be significantly reduced through diet and lifestyle changes. At NHW we work with clients who have, or are at risk of developing cardiovascular disease, and support them to reduce cardiovascular risk and complications. This is achieved through individualised support, advice and a heart healthy diet. With these tools our clients are able to to attain and maintain a healthy body weight, manage cholesterol, lipid profile and blood pressure, and prevent or manage diabetes, which in turn reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

We would love to help you in your journey to help prevent and manage your cardiovascular disease risk. Please contact us on 1800 313 800 if you have any questions or wish to book an appointment.
