Founder of Nutrition Health & Wellbeing, Leeanne Azzopardi provides a customised and integrated counselling approach to promote general good health and manage a range of more specific nutrition-related issues. Having completed a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and a Bachelors Degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Leeanne combines dual qualifications with great skill garnered from her experience in clinical, community health and private practice, to translate the latest nutritional information into meaningful personalised nutrition interventions to assist and empower her patients to obtain long term results and improve their health and wellbeing.
Leeanne believes in her non dieting approach to health and nutrition, having a special interest weight management, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and gastro intestinal health. Leeanne enjoys travelling to new places, trying new restaurants, being creative in the kitchen and a nice chat with friends over wine.
Marie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN). She has completed a Bachelor and Honours degree in Food Science and Nutrition and a Masters degree in Dietetics at Deakin University. Marie believes it is important to be able to enjoy the foods you love whilst sustaining a healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about guiding and motivating her clients to find balance, as well as encouraging them to achieve their health goals and adapt lifelong changes.
Marie specialises in developing customised nutrition plans, providing education and support to empower individuals to improve their food choices and overall health and wellbeing.
Brooke is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Promotion), Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations), Graduate Certificate of Human Nutrition and Masters Degree in Dietetics.
Brooke has a keen interest in paediatric nutrition, diabetes, weight management and gastrointestinal issues, including irritable bowel syndrome, fructose malabsorption and coeliac disease. Brooke is passionate about working with clients to assist them with a return to good health and wellbeing through customised nutrition solutions.
As a former state volleyball player, Brooke understands the importance and benefits of exercise and maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. As a mother of three Brooke also enjoys playing cricket, swimming and tennis with her children.
Simone is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) having completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Dietetic Practice at La Trobe University.
Simone is passionate about improving the health of individuals by providing food and nutrition advice tailored to their lifestyle, goals and health needs. She believes in empowering individuals to make gradual and sustainable changes to promote lifelong health and wellbeing. Her main interest areas include weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal health including coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and fructose and lactose malabsorption.
In her spare time, Simone enjoys catching up with family and friends, experimenting in the kitchen, and keeping active by going for runs and playing basketball.
Laura is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Dietetic Practice at La Trobe University.
Laura is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve overall health and wellbeing, providing nutritional advice that is tailored to the individual, resulting in sustainable and lifelong changes consistent with optimal nutritional health. Laura believes that good nutrition can be achieved through healthy eating practices that incorporate a varied and balanced diet that is both nourishing and appealing. Laura provides a holistic approach, working together with clients to achieve personalised nutritional goals, ensuring dietary advice is evidence based and meal plans are budget friendly, nutritious and enjoyable. Her main areas of interest are diabetes, cardiovascular health, gastrointestinal issues, paediatric nutrition, maternal health/pregnancy and breastfeeding, and aged care.
Laura enjoys spending time with family and reading and keeping up to date with nutritional research. Laura is also a qualified chef and mother of two, and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and creating delicious, nutritious recipes to share with her clients, family, and friends.
Rachel is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master’s of Dietetic Practice from La Trobe University.
As a dietitian, Rachel is passionate about fostering the relationship between nutrition, health and the pleasure of eating. She understands the importance of translating evidenced-based information into tailored advice so her clients can make sustainable and meaningful lifestyle choices. Her main areas of interest include diabetes management, allergy/intolerance and gut health including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
Her passions extend out of the office and into the kitchen where she enjoys cooking up a storm! She loves going for runs and keeps her mind in tip-top shape spending plenty of time relaxing with a good book.
Amy graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Dietetic Practice.
Amy prefers a non-diet approach to health and works together with her clients to come up with a plan that suits their needs, cooking abilities and budget. Amy believes in Health At Every Size and making small sustainable changes to improve health and wellbeing.
Tonya is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) who has completed a Bachelor of Human Nutrition, a Bachelor of Human Nutrition (Honours) and a Masters of Dietetics at La Trobe University. She is the first author of a recently published systematic review and aspires to complete a phD in the future.
Tonya believes that the root of good health comes from nutrition. She is passionate about promoting health and nutrition literacy, helping others achieve and sustain a flexible and mindful healthy lifestyle, provide individual simplistic nutrition advice and investigating the latest nutrition research.
Tonya can fluently speak Greek to her clients and provides translated nutrition resources and diet plans. Her areas of interest include diabetes, weight loss, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health and the non-diet approach. Outside of work, Tonya enjoys reading nutrition articles, resistance training, socialising with friends and learning about Greek history, dance and culture.
Laura Ballantyne has a Bachelor of Health Sciences majoring in Nutrition and a Master of Dietetics from Deakin University. She has been fortunate enough to experience a diverse workload, including working within the weight loss industry, hospitals and private practice. She has also worked within corporate nutrition as a nutrition representative and writes regularly for magazines. Her key areas of interest are women’s health (including pregnancy and pre- and post- natal nutrition), paediatric nutrition, oncology and chronic disease management. Laura is a passionate practitioner and shows genuine care toward her patients.
Maree is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters of Dietetic Practice from La Trobe University. Maree is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals to improve their
food choices and overall health and wellbeing through providing client-centred evidence-based education and developing customised nutrition plans. Her key areas of interest include but are not limited to chronic disease management (diabetes, cardiovascular health, weight management), gastrointestinal health and the non-diet approach. Maree understands the importance of providing care that is client-centred and incorporates a holistic approach to health to allow others to make sustainable life choices and achieve their individual goals.
Rachael is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. She has completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Dietetic Practice at La Trobe University. Rachael is passionate about making sure patients enjoy food while maintaining a healthy lifestyle no matter what stage of life they are in. Special interests include Coeliac Disease/Food Allergies as well as Diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, playing with her 1 year old puppy and being with friends and family. Being a marathon runner and cyclist, she also has a keen interest in Sports nutrition.
Alyssa is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (honours) at Monash University. Alyssa is a dietitian with a keen interest in both clinical and private practice dietetics, with prior experience in a hospital setting. Alyssa has a special interest in diabetes, weight management, cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal health. Alyssa is passionate about empowering and supporting people to make healthy and sustainable change. Alyssa is dedicated to providing individualised and tailored treatments to clients and believes there is no one size fits all approach. Alyssa has a strong commitment to academic learning and is passionate about collaborating with health professionals and working with people to improve their health and wellbeing via nutrition principles. Wendy is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a strong passion for assisting individuals to achieve their nutrition-related goals – no matter how big or small. She aims to empower individuals to make better dietary changes to support long-term health and wellbeing. She provides evidence-based nutrition advice that is tailored and individualised for each patient’s goals. Her areas of interest include chronic disease management (cardiovascular health, diabetes and weight management), gastrointestinal disorders, vegetarian and vegan nutrition, malnutrition and vitamin/mineral deficiencies. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys watching tennis, travelling, trying new cuisines and watching Netflix (she is a big fan of horror movies and true crime documentaries). She also enjoys learning new languages and is currently studying the Korean language in her spare time.
